A trip on the Ohsabanan is a unique nature experience that you can only get from the train. The period-typical trains are pulled by steam locomotives (in case of machine damage or risk of fire, the steam locomotives are replaced with period-typical diesel locomotives) from the beginning of the 20th century. The sound when the locomotive fights its way up the slopes on Sweden's most hilly railway cannot be described in words, but must be experienced.
